Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of photography do you focus on?

I mostly shoot nature, wildlife, birding, landscapes, and night skies. I also include travel scenes and everyday moments that stand out.

Are you a professional photographer?

No—I'm an amateur photographer. I started photography as a hobby and a way to learn something new. Over time, it became a regular part of my life.

What gear do you use?

I use a mix of Canon cameras and lenses, including the Canon EOS R6 and RF 100–500mm for wildlife. You can find a full list of the gear I use on the Resources page.

Do you edit your photos?

Yes. I use several tools to edit my photos, including Affinity Suite, ON1 Photo RAW 2025, ACDSee Photo Studio among others, and mobile apps like Snapseed. I focus on basic adjustments like exposure, color, and sharpness to keep the final image true to the original scene.

Is there a place to see what gear or books you recommend?

Yes. The Resources page includes the gear I use regularly, along with books and references that have helped me learn more about photography and nature.
